With spring on the way, wedding season is ramping up. But how should you decorate your venue to reflect the change in climate? Let’s take a look:

Herbal Decorations

Spring is a time when new life finally begins emerging from its long winter hibernation. Herbs, in particular, come back to life. Therefore, it’s sometimes nice to decorate your venue with them, particularly your cake, with sprigs of seasonal plants such as chamomile.

Install A Floral Canopy

Floral canopies are a beautiful wedding addition and immediately create a lasting impression. The idea here is simple: start with a piece of canopy material and then hang individual flowers and plants to it to create a kind of organic roof.

This option works well for both marquee-based and indoor ceremonies.

Add More Fresh Fruit

During winter, not a lot of fruit grows. But come spring, things change. Apricots, strawberries, mango, kiwi and grapefruit are all good examples of fruits that ripen between April and June.

Make Your Menu Look Spring-Like

Your wedding breakfast menu is a great tool for reminding people that spring is on the way. Use a friendly, relaxed typeface and cover it with images of flowers and seasonal produce.

Use Baskets

Baskets can be helpful for hiding ugly items, like rubber flip flops, and keeping them out of your wedding photos. Wicker, in particular, is a very spring-like material, especially when decorated with herbs.

Decorate Chairs With Garlands

Lastly, you might want to place garlands over your chairs, particularly if you’re hosting an outdoor ceremony. Again, use seasonal flower blooms.
