Wedding flowers are a beautiful addition to your day. From bouquets and boutonnieres to centrepieces and arches, there are plenty of opportunities to add floral touches to your wedding day. When considering your wedding flowers it can begin to add up to rather a lot of money dependent on the types of flowers or the amount of flowers needed.

Here are some ways to help save money on your wedding flowers without losing out on gorgeous visual effects and touches they bring to your day.

Sophisticated Simplicity
When considering your floral scheme try not to involve too many colours, flower varieties or size of displays. Often, the most sophisticated wedding flowers are created from a minimalist scheme of flowers varieties and colours.

Go Big
Why not consider swapping out your smaller blooms for the impact and size of larger blooms like peonies or hydrangeas. They may seem a little more expensive per stem however you will need far fewer amongst your wedding bouquets and floral displays.

Make Friends with Foliage
Do not be quick to discount foliage from your wedding flowers. Foliage is a great filler and can add inexpensive volume to your bouquets and displays. Also with its wide variety of colours and textures it can look just as beautiful as floral blooms. A spray of eucalyptus makes for perfect boutonnieres.

It’s Not Just About Flowers
Think about how and where your wedding flowers will be displayed. Your table centrepieces can be created primarily from vases, jam jars or other prop pieces in keeping with your wedding theme. Feathers, fairy lights and even some faux flowers can add a beautiful finish at little extra expense and minimise the cost of your wedding flowers.
