Having a large wedding poses the question of how to keep lots of guests entertained throughout the day. Naturally, there are moments such as the ceremony, photos, first dance and cake cutting for guests to look forward to. But amongst all of this, there are windows in your day where you might want to think how you can keep your large party entertained. Here’s a few ideas you could consider for your big day:
Private Funfair
After the ceremony and everyone is enjoying a canape with a drink in hand, why not offer them the chance to have some fun on a few fairground rides like dodgems or even a ferris wheel! Kids, and even bigger kids, will love being able to make some great memories whilst enjoying your own private funfair!
Live Music
Having live music throughout your day is always a wonderful way to set the mood and give guests something to enjoy listening to from the moment they arrive until the end of the night. Perhaps it might be wise to opt for a different musician to provide the daytime music, before moving onto the evening celebration and reception to allow for a diverse choice of music.
Light Show
Some venues may have a policy where due to their location or heritage status, fireworks are not permitted. So if that isn’t an option, why not opt for an amazing outdoor light show set to a song you both favour as a couple to really get the evening party started, without the risks or prohibitions fireworks can bring.
Table games
At a large wedding there may be some time spent between courses as plates are cleared and the next course is brought round. So why not place table top trivias or mini games for guests to enjoy to avoid them sitting and waiting around. They are also a great way to get guests chatting who might be meeting for the first time over your wedding breakfast, or entertaining the younger guests during the wedding speeches
