Choosing the right music is an important decision to make amongst all other wedding day plans. It is a key detail to inject some of your personalities into the celebrations. Of course, as with all wedding plans, when choosing your wedding music there are a few considerations you need to make.
Budget
Naturally, live musicians in situ throughout your ceremony and reception are going to be a more expensive option. So, perhaps creating a wedding playlist which can be managed by the venue and played through their sound system would be a far more viable option.
Audience
Think of who will be attending your wedding and how they will be able to interact with the music. Especially during the evening reception. Nearly everyone at some point is going to want to get up to dance and so make sure your evening playlist includes some classic songs everyone will know.
Bridal Processional Music
One of the most important pieces of music for your day, it is so important you pick a song with meaning to you and your partner. It doesn’t have to be confined to any rules of convention so use this opportunity to pick some memorable wedding music. Especially if you are having a videographer!
First Dance
Perhaps indeed the other second most important piece of music for your big day is your first dance together. Again, this can be a real showstopper if you both do not mind being the centre of attention with a choreographed routine. Or, if you feel you will both be rather shy or nervous go for a song which after a short while other couples can come and dance alongside you.
Wedding Breakfast
During the wedding breakfast be sure to pick music that does not make it hard for guests to talk amongst themselves and overpower the experience of the wedding breakfast. Maybe opt for something instrumental or quite calm in its nature – save the big tunes for the evening reception.
